Dr. April Brown won The Professional Counselor's 2024 Dissertation Excellence Award in the Qualitative category. Dr. Brown's research will be the first study published in the counseling profession that examined Black women counselor educators experiences reducing racial trauma in the workplace. Her research significantly contributes to the emerging literature on racial trauma and the counseling profession.
